Feeling guilty over the disfigurement of Karl's face, Sal attempted to perform a complicated spell in order to restore it. It might have worked too if one of the ingredients didn't accidentally get switched. The result was this, a copy of Karl. This copy of Karl had the face, but was very different from the original Karl. Basically, he's an asshole. He has broken memories from being Karl, he is aware he was part of him, what part exactly we don't know. He even knows some things Karl doesn't. Fake Karl didn't make a good impression at the apartment and was kicked out. As a result he was returned to the magic shop, where Miyagi found him and hired him for his skills with robotics. Currently Fake Karl lives in Miyagi's shop with him and his niece.
